Welcome to Happy Travels Japan!
Before booking and participating in our tours, we kindly ask you to carefully read and agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Booking and Payment

• Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.

• Bookings are only considered confirmed once full payment is received and a confirmation email has been issued.

• Clients are responsible for providing accurate information at the time of booking.

2. Cancellation and Modification Policy

• Cancellations and modifications must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled tour time to receive a full refund.

• No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled tour.

• Cancellations based on personal preferences (e.g., changes of plan, dissatisfaction with weather conditions that are not severe) will not be accepted for refunds.

• Tours may only be canceled or rescheduled without penalty if:

  • Severe weather conditions such as typhoons, hurricanes, blizzards, earthquakes, or any natural disasters occur, and

  • Japanese government authorities officially advise against going outside.

• In such cases, clients will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.

3. Weather Policy

• Tours proceed rain or shine.

• Light rain, cloudy skies, heat, or cold weather are not considered valid reasons for cancellation.

• Severe weather cancellations will only be made following official advisories by the Japanese government or local authorities.

4. Client Responsibilities

• Clients must arrive on time at the designated meeting point.

• Late arrivals may result in shortened tours or missed experiences without refunds.

• Clients are responsible for ensuring they are physically capable of participating in walking tours or other planned activities.

• Clients must follow all safety instructions provided by the guide during the tour.

5. Liability

• Happy Travels Japan is not responsible for accidents, injuries, theft, loss, or damages incurred during the tour.

• Participation in tours is at the client’s own risk.

• Happy Travels Japan will not be held liable for changes in itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances such as road closures, weather conditions, or other events beyond our control.

6. Photography and Promotion

• During the tours, Happy Travels Japan may take photographs or videos for promotional purposes.

• By participating, you grant permission for your image to be used in promotional materials unless you specifically request otherwise in writing before the tour begins.

7. Privacy Policy

• We respect your privacy and will only use your personal information for booking purposes, emergency contact, and service improvements.

• Your personal information will not be sold, shared, or used for any other purpose without your consent.

8. Changes to Terms and Conditions

• Happy Travels Japan reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.

• Continued use of our services after changes indicates acceptance of the new terms.
